"no seriousley this is a great sounding album, very bluesy hornssection.
some numbers start out sounding like a bluenote record of some hadbopband!
over that sammy's golden voice ever so powerfull.
one thing i really disliked were the linear notes from james ritz,he talks about sammy beeing someone who can do everything but begins this line with"true astaire and kelly could dance better, brando could act better and sinatra could sing better"where did he get that from sinatra sings better that sammy????
this is absoluteley not true!!everyone who knows the two vocalists will conclude the same sammy is the best vocalist.
sinatra sounded great but sammy's musicality is greater, range wider!!
so sam you are my nr.1!!!!"

"I began to be a big fan of Sammy Davis after buying the box set "Yes I Can." Thankfully Collectors Choice is reissuing many of his former albums recorded at Reprise.I had already bought the first 9 put out last year, and just last week purchased "When The Feeling Hits You." Although I thought this was a live album, it is "Recorded Wild in Las Vegas." You will need to read the liner notes. Anyway, I got home late and put this CD on. As I said, put the lights down, light the candles, grab your sweetheart and let the night begin. My favourite track is "This Is Always." I am listening to this track as I write this. Pure perfection!!!!!Sammy and the rest of the gang may be gone, but perfect treasures as this will live on forever. Enjoy!!!Cam"
