"I bought this album for the violin concerto. Having long been an admirer of Berl Senofsky, I was eager to hear him in his prime, playing this work with the composer himself conducting. To say the least, I was not disappointed. The performance showcases one of America's great violinists at the peak of his form, delivering a knockout performance of one of the most challenging concertos in the repertoire. It should be required listening for every young violinist who thinks that playing a lot of fast notes is the way to a career. In Senofsky's hands, every note, and there are lots of them, have meaning and purpose. He was a singular artist and this recording should not be missed!"
