Enjoyable, but not incredible

(3 out of 5 stars)
"I wrestled between three and four stars, finally settling on three. I really wanted to give this CD four stars because it has several good songs, particularly J'Ai Demandé à La Lune, Si Seulement Je Pouvais Lui Manguer, and Paradis Blanc. The rest are background, most of which are, well... enjoyable. I'm one who doesn't mind the "New Age" synthesizer blended with the treble voices. In fact, I like it. But if you don't, you should definitely pass on this one.
A couple of the songs on the CD, however, are surprisingly unpolished. There are points where their voices fail them-- the high notes are occasionally pinched, even flat. This is not Libera. On Ave Maria, the beginning of the song (and a few other parts) had my finger hovering over the NEXT button.
Let's face it-- the kids are cute, they're marketable. I bought. But I'm left with the feeling that this is a marketing gimmick. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that, but unless you don't mind paying a premium for a few very enjoyable songs, you might be less eager to rate this CD as I did."
