"This is a survey of Eoetvoes' vocal music, ranging from his Opera "Three Sisters" to Electroacoustic music with crickets as the source material. All of the music is well crafted and inventive. It is postmodern; this music is aware of the social connotations of the various sounds being used, and yet it is experimental and new (modern)... fresh sounding.
Two monologues are arias from "Three Sisters." Harakiri is a scene with recitations and woodcutter. It's quite dramatic. Tale is an interesting EA manipulation of speech. Insetti Galantti is an updating of some texts Gesualdo used; some postmodern madrigals. Cricket music is based on ring modulated cricket sounds.
I recommend it. Quite varied musically throughout and the work of a modern-day compositional master.
