If Only These Great Singers Were Recorded Better

"I have several albums by the Soviet/Red Army Chorus. This Chorus, since the early part of the 20th century, has presented professionally sounding, entertaining performances all over the world on labels like London and Naxos. This is a cheaply thrown together collection of some of their songs with what is called the Moscow Boys Choir. The sound is so poor, the words cannot be understood, even though they are sung in English (and this is not true of the English language songs on other CDs).
Moreover, the Boys Choir appears to suspiciously lack a trace of a Russian accent. Did some tracks get mixed up with an American choir?
I did not pay much for this CD, but I spent a lot of time and energy tracking it down, ordering it from 4 or 5 Marketplace sellers, each of whom had to let me know eventually it was out of stock. If you have the chance, do not order this particular recording. It may be a bootleg of some kind or the recording company did the performers a great disservice."
