"The Charlie Clouser songs are really well constructed. If you've seen the movie they will remind you of their scenes. Some do sound like nine inch nails instrumentals. I wish there was a new nine inch nails song on here or at least a remix. None of the tracks are bad.

"This soundtrack consists of music performed by NIN's Charlie Clouser, and other various artists. Most of the songs are dark, catchy, and quite memorable. Some of the Clouser cuts sound somewhat NINish but sink into orchestrated tunes that could be mistaken for any other movie score composer. Overall, the whole cd is great, esp the fear factory song and the song by Pitbull Daycare(whom I had never heard of until purchasing this disc). This soundtrack is definitely worth buying unlike some...where there is only a few good songs, and most of the songs are already out on cd's anyway. So give this one a chance, you wont regret it if you like gothic, industrial, rock, or metal."

"Everyone associated with NIN is obviously brilliant. I was under the impression that everyone else was merely a pawn in Trent Reznor's demented puppet show, but not so. Chris Vrenna did the soundtrack for the pc game AMerican McGee's Alice (an excellently creepy game, highly recommended) and now Charlie Clouser did this. Each of the songs was perfectly thought-out, constructed, and performed. Mr. Clouser is a genius. Great ambience music for a dark night, all alone. The actual industrial rock songs are not bad either, though I tend to skip over them to hear more of Clouser's work (I have better industrial cds if I want to listen to vocals [*cough* Downward Spiral]) Three minor gripes though. I would have liked to hear a new NIN song on here, and this album also screams out for some Marilyn Manson (who can also write incredible film scores, just look at the first Resident Evil)and I think one of Fear Factory's (awesome band) older, HEAVIER industrial/death metal songs would have fit the movie better; but minor complaints compared to such a great cd. Get it, and the Saw dvd as well."

"Man,this is a great soundtrack! This sounds a lot like old NIN. Some of the songs on here sound like stuff off the Downward Spiral or Quake, especialy tracks 11 and 12. Mr. Clouser did a fine job."

"What makes this album worth 5 stars? That may be one of the questions you find yourself asking. I'll tell you why. During the commentary for the Saw dvd Leigh Whannell (who played Adam and wrote the movie) said he felt the movie had a gritty, muddy and rusty feel to it. I agree. So, he wanted to find somebody to do a score and bands that would give off that feel. Charlie Clouser (ex-nin) does a wonderful job here. So, he brings in bands such as Fear Factory and Pitbull Daycare (I have spoken with their drummer, he is a really nice guy.) I prefer Black Metal and Death Metal over industrial. However, I love this soundtrack. I have not been able to take it out of my walkman since getting it. First, the atmosphere Charlie Clouser gives off, is right on the money and I am highly impressed. Also, I am not the biggest fan of Fear Factory but their song is quite good as well. However, my favorite song is "Hello Zepp" the epic song, in while the final few minutes (most shocking as well)of the movie are played out. That song is worth the money alone. So, even though you may not enjoy industrial, this is still worth giving a try. Enjoy"
