Amazon.comLooking for a Mother's Day gift you can buy so your kids can give it to you come Mom's Day? Here it is: 14 songs that celebrate mothers and all of their wise, weary, and tender ways. You've got to love a record that features gospel's Dixie Hummingbirds singing Paul Simon's "Loves Me Like a Rock," the Shirelles' "Mama Said" ("there'd be days like this..."), and Doris Day, that prototype '60s mom, extolling the knowledge of "Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)." But when you find other gems such as "High Hopes" (sung by the Broadway Kids), the Disney Studio Chorus's heartbreaking ballad from Dumbo, "Baby Mine," and Mister Rogers singing "Going to Marry Mom" in his linoleum voice (careful there, Fred), maybe you ought to nab a second copy for your mom, too. Highly recommended. --Martin Keller
