Great for Burt Bacharach collector,not so great for Dionne's

"This two disc UK version is definitely inferior to the original Rhino's 3 discs box set,with a poor packaging of slipcase.Even the original liner by Alec Cummings seems to be poorly printed.

Unlike 1998 Rhino version,the sequences of the album is not chronological,by putting Carpenters'(One of my favorite band,though) 1970 "Close to You" first.When I listen to the album in normal order,I can't see the flow of Burt's style over time.Of course,designed for British market,many of selected version of songs are performed by British musicians(Dusty Springfield,Cilla Black,Petula Clerk,Sandie Shaw and so on).And this greatly decrease the percentage of Dionne Warwick,which I frown upon(I'm a huge fan of her!).

If you already own some Burt Bacharach's songs,this album can be a great complementery for song versions,though."
