Instead, Tony pursued a career as a crooner singing commercial Pop tunes, an area he proved extremely successful in the days before Rock 'N' Roll. Whilst the arrival of Rock hailed the end of many an artist's career, Tony Bennett was not among them, for he was able to adapt. The Beat Of My Heart, his 1957 album that makes up the bulk of this particular release, found Tony working with an abundance of Jazz artists.
