"I confess that I had never listened to many of the songs in this "Antology" but I had appreciated the special sound (and soul) of Toña La Negra's voice long ago and stayed very impressed. When I bought this product I really didn't know if songs contained in the two CDs would be grateful or not to me but I decided to do it just for the pleasure of hearing the wonder of her voice and...I were not wrong !!! Despite the excellent letters or the beauty of melodies, is the special style of this singer that emerges for over the quality of compositions and what captured my preference and virtually have make me fall in love love with her way of singing. The sound (monoaural) is very nice (original), clean and loud enough to be appreciated. I recommend this product to the lovers of romantic caribean music of forties and fifties in the last century."

"Este album de 2 CD es extraordinario, pues contiene grabaciones de la mejor época de Toña e incluye un tesoro: la pimera grabació de "La Gloria Eres Tú" canción que fue estrenada en disco por Toña, antes que José Antonio Méndez y muchos otros, la grabaran. Recomiendo este album a todos los amantes de la época de oro del bolero.
