"It's always a pleasure to encounter the fine American soprano
Sheri Greenawald anytime. Sorely neglected by major record companies,
it is a pleasure to hear her again sing the music of Thomas Pasatieri,
whose collaboration goes back over thirty years ago (I remember a performance of her Catherine Sloper in Pasatieri's "Washington Square",
based on the novel by Henry James, with the late lamented baritone
Stephen Dickson as Morris Townsend.) Here Greenawald and the other singers
involved acquit themselves nicely. Why hasn't the Met commission Pasatieri to write an opera? Mr Gelb are you listening?"
