"The Sandpipers score another hit with this second blended album CD -Misty Roses/The Wonder of You. The Sandpipers are masters of harmony in several languages as evidenced in lovely renditions of 'Today' and 'I Believed It All' and popular hits of the day ('Windmills of Your Mind', 'And I Love Her', 'Misty Roses' and 'The Wonder of You').
For ballroom dancing enthusiasts, there's an added bonus: many easily danceable Latin rhythms. I love it!"
Fine twofer CD from The Sandpipers

"The Sandpipers were quite popular in their heyday; and many of their fine songs still sound quite good even in our times. This twofer CD has all the songs from two of their record albums entitled Misty Roses and The Wonder of You. The quality of the sound is excellent and I like that the artwork incorporates the artwork from the original record album jackets. In addition, The Sandpipers sing in more than just English on this CD; I'm very impressed.
The album starts with a charmer, "The Wind Will Change Tomorrow (Cuando Sali de Cuba)." "(The) Wind Will Change Tomorrow (Cuando Sali de Cuba)" is a prime example of The Sandpipers' easy listening style; the music fits in so well with their harmonizing. The Sandpipers never miss a note and that's grand. Listen also for "And I Love Her;" this Beatles tune shines bright in the capable hands of The Sandpipers who make this most romantic. I love those drums, too! "Fly Me to the Moon" is one of my favorites on this CD; these pros handle it with panache and I love every minute of it. The bossa nova, jazzy flavor enhances the natural beauty of this number, too.
"Honey Wind Blows" is easy on the ear; these fine artists sing this to perfection--and beyond! "Misty Roses" stuns me with its beauty; the arrangement works wonders for this number and it's a major highlight of this CD. "Today" is very pretty; and listen for yet another gem in "Day Dream." "Day Dream" is a classic that sounds fresh and new when The Sandpipers deliver it without letting go of a superfluous note. "Wooden Heart" incorporates that Dixieland sound I always enjoy so very much; and how's about that brass? The Sandpipers yet again perform this one without a hitch.
"Let Go" is pure easy listening with another bossa nova twist that just couldn't sound any better; I really like "Let Go." "Wave" is another sublime classic bossa nova tune; Jobim would probably be just a little bit jealous of this rendition by The Sandpipers! "Wave" is another major highlight of this fine CD. "Yellow Days" shines bright when The Sandpipers do it; and "Lo Mucho Que Te Quiero (The More I Love You)" never sounded better than when The Sandpipers perform it on this disc. What a love song!
"The Wonder of You" is a number I first heard sung by Elvis Presley; but The Sandpipers also do this one up right! "The Wonder of Love" is very beautiful and I could never tire of hearing The Sandpipers perform this ballad. "The Windmills of Your Mind" is a tune you may well recognize when you hear the very first bars of it; and The Sandpipers do this faultlessly--this music is all THAT good. The CD ends very nicely with The Sandpipers outdoing even themselves on "Kumbaya" which uses some great percussion. "Kumbaya" is very sweet and touching, too.
The Sandpipers' music could never truly go out of style; as long as people want high quality control easy listening music there will be a place for The Sandpipers. Few groups could ever harmonize so well so consistently; and we are all better off for their sharing their gift with us.
