"This is an excellent collaborative effort between Kitty Kallen and Harry James of some 1940-1950's swinging material. It does not include the better known collaborations such as I'm Beginning to See the Light and It's Been a Long, Long Time but offers more in the same vein. The vocals and orchestrations are both excellent."

These are not James' and Kallen's best songs, but still good

"These songs from Harry James and Kitty Kallen are not as good as their big hits together. Mr. James' trumpet and Ms. Kallen's singing are top-notch, but for the most part the songs are pleasant but not particularly memorable. However, they are full of energy and fun, which balances it all out. I would recommend this CD to any of Mr. James' or Ms. Kallen's fans, mainly because it is good to hear other songs by them than just the big hits available on so many other compilations. I rate this CD five stars for the musicianship, and three stars for the material. I don't think anyone who likes these performers or big band music will be disappointed, but I doubt that these selections will make anyone forget Mr. James' and Ms. Kallen's better-known performances."
