A change of pace for Banu...

"In the past Banu has stuck exclusively to 1920's and 30's classic jazz. On this exelelnt set Banu sticks to 30's and mostly WWII period music, and gher renditions are very charming. She really makes us ball are eyes out with such songs of longing as There Will Never Be Another You, Remember, and Winter Moon. However there are also plenty of toe tappers like Steppin' Out and a hot version of Put the Blame On Mame(since banu is essentially a swing singer, her sense of rhythm really stands out on these selections). Bucky Pizzarelli is well featured on this cd, giving out Dave Barbour sounding licks where nessicary. The band is essentially a list of who's who in trad jazz today. The band is hot or sweet when nessicary. banu sounds particularly appealing on Peggy Lee's I Don't Know Enough About you and a classic version of This Years Kissis(previously recorded by Alice Faye & Billie Holiday). This is a great set and it will please all of Banu;s many fans, and will win her a few more..."
