Mixed song quality---a lot for the money, but not all high q

"There is certainly a very lot to listen to here, and much of it is quite nice. However, it's a mixed lot! I like it best when the songs are actually sung by children, and sung in a straightforward way. Kids' voices singing Sunday School type songs is a lovely thing to hear. However, now and then there is a song that is sung by adults pretending to be kids---a prime example is "Children, Go Where I Send Thee". This one has adults singing in child-like voices, actually the voices of children with odd and disturbing speech problems! WHY does anyone think this is cute or funny? Let the kids sing! I like the many hymns and traditional songs in this collection---I want my children to learn hymns like Amazing Grace and The Battle Hymn of the Republic, and they are included. Overall, worth the money, but you might wind up doing a lot of skipping of tracks if you are like me!"
