A Great Gershwin Tribute

"Julie Wilson's celebration of the songs of the Gershwins is a superb album of standards sung with the great range of emotional attack that Ms Wilson has at her disposal. She is as tender and sensitive when doing ballads as she is swinging and joyous when performing rhythm songs. The selection of numbers is peerless, encompassing many of the brothers' finest creations, all of which are handled with consummate skill by Julie Wilson. Her rendition of "Someone To Watch Over Me" is enormously affecting, as is the story she weaves from a medley of "A Foggy Day" and "Love Walked In". Her musical partner William Roy supplies typically masterful embellishment, and joins in for a few duets, including a great performance of "They All Laughed". This album proves that Ms Wilson's powers are still at their apex."
