"The sound is superb and finds Horn in a typically intimate, LIVE setting. Curiously though, Steeplechase, the record label, subsequently split and released this very title on two more separate CD's and retitled them "Violets for Your Furs" and "All Night Long." Though all three titles are in the same price range, I'd suggest buying this one where the entire performance is in ONE COMPLETE package (2 CD's.) I own all three, but that's because I didn't realize that they were all reissues of the original recording. That's the recording industry for ya. Additionally, this set (in either of its multiple forms) would precede her great major label Verve debut with the "Live at Vine St." set from 1987. Everyone knows the rest of the story complete with a first #1 Billboard Jazz Album and two Grammy awards for the woman who didn't win one until she was sixty and a second when she was sixty-six. Any recording from Horn, the legendary pianist/balladeer, is, in my opinion, Grammy-worthy."
