She has been awarded grants and scholarships by the Fulbright Commission, the National University of Mexico, and the National Fund for Culture and the Arts. Ms. Lopez-Speziale won First Prizes in several national and international competitions, including the Vincenzo Bellini competition in Italy, the Licia Albanese-Puccini Foundation International competition, and the National Council Competition of the Metropolitan Opera. She has sung at Alice Tully Hall in New York, the New York City Opera, Caramoor Opera, and the Fine Arts Opera in Mexico City, among others. Mexican pianist Sergio Vázquiez is an indispensable accompanist of countless singers and important chamber ensembles. He has given solo recitals in the U.S., Spain and Croatia.« less
