"Sitting at your favorite table and night-club, listening to your favorite "girl singer" - in a setting to die for, only comes once in a lifetime...and you're there in fine fashion. Rosie still sounding as good-as-ever, with great backup musicians - Nat Pierce (piano), Monty Budwig (bass), Jake Hanna (drums), Bill Berry (trumpet) and the great Scott Hamilton (sax), selections are unforgettable standards only they way Rosie can sing them.Of course there are stand outs - "I CAN'T GET STARTED" with additional lyrics is a "pure joy"..."I'VE GOT A CRUSH ON YOU" a great Gershwin tune, simple and from the heart with awesome lyrical interpretation..."HEY THERE" a Clooney tune from her yester-years, swinging arrangement..."AS TIME GOES BY" clear, clean with beautiful tones, you gotta love it...but the highlight is the great Louis Armstrong standard - "DO YOU KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO MISS NEW ORLEANS" makes this song her own, digs deep into this tune and pulls out all the stops with a classic ending.Concord Jazz Carl E. Jefferson said it best - "Brevity is clarity. Mr. Tony Bennett's description of this recording is accurate to say the least. This 1977 recording of Rosemary's, proves the theorem that aging fine wines, enhances them. She sang with the band, live...no overdubs...listen and enjoy...it's beautiful"...and "EVERYTHING'S COMING UP ROSIE" is a keeper, and that is my final answer!Total Time: 36:56 on 10 Tracks...Concord Jazz CCD-4047...(1977)"
