Collectables = Quality? Nope, wrong once again

"Collectables shows you how to do it wrong once again with this cd, "Greatest Hits". Hits???? Okay, Right Or Wrong, ronnie's biggest hit, good song to start the cd off with.....as long as it's the Diamond recording and not one of the two re-recordings Ronnie did in the 70's and 80's. Next, Mountain of Love? A good version of the song but hardly a hit, stopping at #67. Next, Say You, his first charting record that stalled out at #40 on the charts. Then there's Ronnie's #18 hit When Liking Turns To Loving and then two cuts off of his first Diamond lp, a few 70's and 80's country recordings (no doubt You're The Reason I'm Living is still the underdub version of the song missing an overdubbed piano part, that original album mix has never turned up on cd), and ending up with the #22 hit I Really Don't Want To Know. Which leads me to say, I really don't want to know why Collectables messed up yet another Ronnie Dove cd. He had 20 hot 100 singles out of 23 releases (one of them also hit the bubbling under chart as well), 11 of those were top 40 recordings alone with 9 of them being top 20. Collectables could've easily picked a 10 track cd comprised of nothing but the biggest hits of Ronnie's Diamond records career but decided to include "their" favorite songs, not the real HITS. The album should've been titled "The songs Collectables Records consider to be The Best of Ronnie Dove", this cd isn't worth the $6 you'd spend on it just for 3 Diamond hits....the Best Of cd on Stardust of Canada is a much better cd to attempt to locate for decent sounding hits (with a few album sides and later recordings thrown in for good measure)."
