"Music and poetry are truly complementary arts, and Ms. Golabek does the world a tremendous service by bringing them together here, along with words of romantic passion and anguish by various composers. Her sensuous voice weaves in and out between pieces like a beautiful whisper, highlighting the powerful emotions of love and romantic obsession that so often fuel great art. She (and the album itself) are truly wonders for the senses - any lover of classical music, of poetry...of life itself, should be proud to own this album."

"As a Licensed Massage Practitioner, I am always looking for something to enhance the massage experience for my clients. I specialize in stress reduction and spiritual healing, so music and aromatherapy are crucial tools of my practice. The new-age disks I have always seemed somehow impersonal and quickly get old for my clients and myself, but Mona personalizes and deepens the trance-like state that is essential to my practice. Short of installing a hot tub, I can't imagine any greater improvement."

"A wonderful collection of music with a romantic edge combined with the readings of love letters and poetry by Golabek. The perfect accompaniment for a sensuous evening at home. If you're an adult and need a substitute for bedtime stories, this is it!!"

"The favorable reviews for this cd album clearly indicate that romantic music combined with poetry and love letters make for the ultimate romantic album. The soothing album can also serve as relaxation, meditation and music to use in massage sessions or intimate moments. Mona Golabeck is a sexy-voiced Grammy Award winning concert pianist who recently wrote a successful children's book. She is the host of "The Romantic Hours" segment on California's KMOZART classical music station. Every Saturday from 10pm to 11pm, the hour broadcast features classical music, romantic poetry from classic masters such as Tennyson, Lord Byron, Shakespeare and many others. Also, listeners can submit their own original poetry. I enjoy listening to "The Romantic Hours", and when I came across this cd, which promotes the radio show, I was ecstatic. This cd is just like the radio show. Recently, The Romantic Hours dedicated an entire broadcast to the reading of Tennyson's tragic romantic ballad "Enoch Arden", as read by Michael York. Mona Golabeck reads love letters by such famous artists as Frederic Chopin (who had a long love affair with the writer Aurore Dudevant "George Sand") and the classical music featured in this cd is gorgeous. The Romantic Hours always opens with the heart-warming first movement of Sibelius' Sixth Symphony and this is included in the first track of this cd. The rest include brilliant music by Chopin, Ibert, Korngold, Satie and Ravel. This cd is a perfect addition to music you already consider romantic. A must have for romantics."
