Disappointing in many ways

"The concept of this album is to have some of your favorite stars and bands performing live using new technology. The first 6 songs feature Mark Lindsay doing 5 Raiders classics plus his solo hit,Arizona. The mixing that was done is extremely poor on bass. Mark's vocals are often spoken [I realize people lose their singing voice as they get older, which may be the case here].Gone are the shouts and growls we heard during the 60's. Indian Reservation is a fairly good rendition and Arizona is the best of the 6. The next 6 songs by the Grass Roots are much better, but original singer Rob Grill is missing.Replacing him is Ron Dante [of the Archies and Cuff Links]who does a good job, but it's not quite the same.Jean Knight and Merilee Rush are okay with their 2 songs. Spencer Davis does 2 classics of his,but gone are Steve Winwood on vocals, being replaced by Spencer himself. These 2 songs are okay. Finally,if these are supposed to be live versions, why do 6 songs fade out at the end?If you are a Mark Lindsay fan,you might want to purchase this cd.Otherwise, this cd for the most part is very disappointing."
