"This sampler of Robert Goulet love songs would make a good introduction to the singer for those unfamiliar with his silky smooth, powerful baritone vocal stylings. While In Love does feature a hit or two, listeners should look elsewhere if they want an actual greatest hits type of album, though. This album means a lot to me because it contains two of my favorite songs of all time, What Kind of Fool Am I? and What Now My Love, each of which Goulet delivers with the grace it demands and deserves. Several of these tracks have been made famous by other artists, providing a great opportunity for new fans to gauge his vocal talents and unique musical presentation against songs they already know. Goulet's magic is easily discernible in his version of the Righteous Brothers classic Ebb Tide, and his version of golden oldie It's All in the Game likewise showcases his talent for making any song solely his own. There But For You Go I is an especially moving song in which Goulet plumbs the depth of emotion and compassion with his deep, driving voice. From slow, all-consuming ballads such as Somewhere, My Love and I Wish You Love to more energetic romantic tracks such as This Guy's In Love With You and A Man Without Love, Goulet unleashes a power akin to harnessed thunder. Discount CD or no, the ten songs assembled on In Love are as impeccably delivered as they are emotionally touching."
