CD Reviews

The Love Goddess
SJC | 08/18/2007
(4 out of 5 stars)

"Rita Hayworth is one of my favorite actresses; I love almost all of her movies. This CD has many of Rita Hayworth's songs that sound like they've been recorded straight from her movies. (You can hear the sound of tap shoes dancing.) The sound is somewhat poor on disk 1 but much more clear on disk 2. I would recommend this CD to Rita Hayworth fans only."

Not Hayworth's Voice
Margo Channing | 03/25/2009
(1 out of 5 stars)

"Rita Hayworth was dubbed in almost all of her films by Jo Ann Greer and Anita Ellis - it's Ellis you're hearing in Gilda, and Jo Ann Greer in Pal Joey, for example. Hayworth did sing on the Carol Burnett show once, and it's on the combo CD of Hayworth and Marlene Dietrich."
