I have only one comment, though, which in no way diminishes the merit of the singer. I think some of the songs by Tosti should be sung accompanied only with a piano. They are so intimate, so beatifuly simple yet at the same time so full and accomplished, that the orchestra comes in as an excess. I would have loved a Bruson recording of Tosti with piano only."
