"I just wrote a review of the sister CD to this one, "Something Special for Young Lovers". The Ray Charles Singers were popular throughout particularly the early sixties, on television and easy listening radio. And with good reason! The combination of the beautiful harmonies he created with talented instrumental arrangements appealed to people of many age groups. A universality seen in common only with some classical music. Please see my other review, and do yourself a favor--buy both, they make a great collection together. The analog sound quality is fantastic; it's a great test of anyone's equipment. It is, after all, a modern miracle that music forty years ago can sound this fresh, this immediate. Thank you again, Collectors' Choice!"

"Love this CD. Takes me back to the era of really good "easy listening" music. Worth listening to over and over again."
Great Stereo Sound

"I bought this CD as an album back in the late 1960s. I fell in love with the Ray Charles Singers when I was in California in 1966. While I love easy listening music, what makes this one special is the stereo aspect of the music. When I bought the album, I had a huge magnavox stereo. You know, the kind that are 6 feet or more long. I used to sit on the floor about 6 feet from the stereo and smack dab inbetween the speakers and would listen to the entire album. Part of the instruments would come from one side of the speakers and other instruments from the opposite side and the same is true for vocals with the ladies on one side and the men on the other. It was just fantastic to listen to. I have yet to be able to listen to the CD in this manner as I am only listening to it in my car or on my PC and my speakers are not that good on either. I bet with some great speaker systems or surround-sound, it would just be like it used to sound for me. If you buy this CD, I hope you enjoy it."
