This is not the folk music Peter Mayer, but the rock one who plays in Jimmy Buffet's band.

"Well, it's hard to pick a favorite CD where Peter Mayer is concerned, since each one is a masterpiece in itself and different from his other pieces of work. But "Romeo's Garage" would surely fill the favorite shoes if I had to choose. Each song on this CD takes the listener on an emotional journey. Listening to this CD makes me realize how precious a gift life really is, that every experience is a reason to celebrate being alive. Peter is at the top of his song writing game with this CD. "Chain of Love" is an upbeat but simple groove with a cool bass line and percussion that is reminiscent of some of the stuff on Paul Simon's "Graceland" CD. The chorus makes a simple statement that covers the complexity of relationships, "Set me free, but don't let me go." Brilliant. "Romeo's Garage", the title track, is just a cool, likeable song. Very unique. "BB's Got The Blues" is a nice groove to slow dance to. "Morning Star Cafe" is just a funky, fun, jumpin' java tune! Can't help but tap the steering wheel when listening to this one in the car! "Blue Guitar" is one of those songs you just find yourself singing along to. I think it was meant to be that way. I catch myself smiling when I sing along to this song. I like how Peter weaves some of his other songs into this one, such as "Red Wine and Lemonade". Cool. "Singing In Your Cage" is a powerful, powerful song about companionship. Not conventional companionship between a woman and a man or two people who have been friends forever. But something different. Yet, what is portrayed and taught in this song can be applied to any relationship, regardless of who or what is involved. It is the most moving song on this CD and I find myself tearing up each time I hear it. All in all, this is definitely a "DO NOT MISS" CD. Excellent."
Two words for Peter - THANK YOU!!!!!

"This album travels with me where ever I go! Peter has once again produced a collection of songs that are too incredible for my limited literary capactiy! Peter Mayer is possibly the most gifted artist I have come across - in addition he is a warm, condsiderate person who makes it easy to be a dedicated fan. He deserves all the support I can muster for producing an album that is capable of making me dance, making me cry and helps me get through a long day at work. If you are considering RG as an addition to your collection - hesitate no longer you will not be disappointed!!! Thank you PM!!!!!!!"

"It's hard to imagine that Peter could put out anything as great as Green Eyed Radio, but yes, he's done it again. His talent with the guitar gets better and better. The versatility on the songs is great. A Little Too Happy, Morningstar Cafe & It's Alright make you want to get up & dance. You can visualize every line in the title cut - Romeo's Garage. BB's Got The Blues is a sad/sweet tribute. If you've ever been to Key West, you'll go back in your mind when you hear Elizabeth. Peter may be fun to watch when he plays for Jimmy Buffett, but he absolutely shines on his own. Don't miss this incredible talent."

"Romeo's Garage was my first exposure to Peter Mayer. Where have I been? This man is an incredible talent. His humor, pathos, artistry seem to blend together, creating songs that genuinely lift the spirit. I listen to it over and over. What a way to unwind. Thanks, Peter!"
Can I give it more than 5 stars?

"I thought Green Eyed Radio blew me away so I guess Romeo's Garage totally blew me away. There is so much talent in Peter. He's an awesome guitarist who also happens to sing great and write beautiful songs. Why isn't he heard on the radio? His songs touch a place in my heart and that's where they stay. If it wasn't for Jimmy Buffet I would not have heard of him. He is in need of a major label who will promote him, unless of course he doesn't want that."
