"This was Percy's album from 1971 and listening to this cd I find it to be lovely.Percy Faith used his mixed chrous in all but 3 songs on this cd and those were bonuses. Most of these songs on this cd are lightley stringed not a lot of lush tunes on this one but even so I love hearing Faith's chrous on these songs backed with his light strings. Here is the album info.
I Think I Love You 1971 No Liner Notes Are Included On This Cd

GREAT EARLY 70'S EASY LISTENING MUSIC

"IF THERE WAS ANY ARTIST WHO COULD TAKE AN ORDINARY SONG AND TRANSFORM IT INTO A BEAUTIFUL WORK OF ART, IT'S PERCY FAITH. I AM PARTICULARLY FASCINATED WITH FOUR OF THE SONGS ON THIS CD. "EVERYTHINGS ALRIGHT", "THE TIME FOR LOVE IS ANYTIME", A GREAT VOCAL VERSION OF "THEME FOR YOUNG LOVERS" AND "LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT (THEME FROM "KOTCH")". THE FIRST TWO I HEARD ON AN EASY LISTENING RADIO STATION BACK IN THE EARLY 70'S BUT THEY WERE AN INSTRUMENTAL VERSION AND I HAD NO IDEA WHAT THE TITLE OF THE SONG WAS. IT'S GREAT TO HEAR THESE SONGS AGAIN."
A great new CD of percy faith

"I was expecting about this album for a few years. At last! With the 2 songs of Jesuscrist SuperStar is enought. The chorus are beautiful.
I am waiting the CD to ear the extra songs and I will reedit this review and tell you my opinion, OK?
Ah, the art of the cover is really goog (the cover of the LP here in Colombia was very different of the original, and I suppose that each country made their own)."

"Collected all the LP's and 45's originally released during those golden years...remember when Maestro Percy Faith was cranking out beautiful arrangements in the early to mid '50s for singers of the Columbia Record stables (Tony Bennett, Rosie Clooney, Doris Day, Johnny Mathis and Guy Mitchell) to name just a few...but his true and real ambition was arranging tunes of the yesterday and composing songs of his own...now enters the album of "I THINK I LOVE YOU", plus bonus tracks featuring countless melodies of the singles from the '60s and '70s...all arranged in perfect order by Mr. Faith...all under the watchful eye of Mitch Miller (head of artist and repertoire department) of Columbia Records.
Originally released on Columbia Records (C-30502) in 1971 all inclusive with the unmistakable "Percy Faith Touch" on arrangements:
6. THE GREEN GRASS STARTS TO GROW (Hal David/Burt Bacharach)
7. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO LOVE HIM (Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice)
8. I THINK I LOVE YOU (Tony Romero)
9. MY SWEET LORD (George Harrison)
10.ROSE GARDEN (Joe South)
11.DON'T SAY GOODBYE (Charles Robison/Elliot Kaplan)
Now for the Bonus Tracks from various "Columbia Singles" during the late '60s and '70s with composers listed.
12. THE TIME FOR LOVE IS ANYTIME (Quincy Jones/Cynthia Weil) (released in 1969)
13. PEPPERMINT HILL AND STRAWBERRY LANE (Percy Faith/Spence Maxwell) (released in 1969)
14. THEME FOR YOUNG LOVERS (Where Is My Someone) (Percy Faith/New Baker/R. Layne) (1970)
15. ANYTIME OF THE YEAR (Nurit Hirsch/Robert Brittan) (released in 1971)
16. THE GODFATHER WALTZ (Nino Rota) (released in 1972)
17. LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT (Theme from "Kotch") (Johnny Mercer/Marvin Hamlish) (1972)
18. EMMANUELLE-THE JOYS OF A WOMAN (Francis Lai) (released in 1976)
Stand up and take a bow Jeff James (reissue producer), Debra Parkinson (reissue engineer), Collectables Records, Sony Music and of course "Our Man from Canada" Maestro Percy Faith have given all the fans what they have wanted and craved for years...there is a "Columbia Singles: Volume 3 (1959-1967)" in the works featuring the theme from "Lawrence of Arabia", theme from "Mahahonny", theme from "Advise & Consent", "The Sound of Surf", "Our Language of Love" (from "Irma La Douce"). "The Last Time I Saw Archie, "There Was A Time"(Faith), "The Brass Ring"(Faith), "Jacquline's Journey"(Faith), "Love Me Now(from "The Third Day")(Faith), "Lover's Prelude"(Faith), "Hawaiian Lullaby"(Faith), "Theme for Young Lovers"(Faith - 1st arrangement), plus many more coming your way with that "Percy Faith Sound"...gotta love it!
