"This recording was introduced to me by my parents. They collected music from all over the world. I remember this album specifically because of the beautiful selection of songs and the orchestration. I will now purchase it on cd for my children to hear. I suggest that you too pass this treasure to yours."

A lost recording that needed to be RE-released!

"I was very lucky that my Father was into music just enough to help me acquire my hobby of music collecting. My first introduction to Percy Faith was when "Theme from a Summer Place" played on the car radio when my Dad would drive our family to other relatives' houses. In the early 60's my Father bought this album on reel-to-reel to play on his a Norelco portable recorder/player he bought. Eventually he made his own stereo system with turntable, preamp, power amp, as well as made his own speaker cabinets and later bought a better reel-to-reel deck by Sony Superscope because the Norelco unit went dead. What an unbelievable awesome instrumental sound this album has with music that ALL of my family still loves today. I am the oldest son and have 7 sisters and 1 brother and we all just went crazy when my Dad played this album! My Dad used to just crank this album up on songs "Malaguena", "El Manisero", "El Bodeguero", "La Cumparsa", "Tumbando Cana", "Para Vigo Me Voy" & "Mama Inez". The tape took a beating and finally I found this great sounding CD release after searching years for a replacement copy. 40+ years and all kinds of different music collecting later, this is still one of MY FAVORITE RECORDINGS OF ALL TIME."
