"Wow! This album is hot! I have seen Nnenna perform many times, and always loved it. She is one of the few great performers that can connect with any audience. This album captures that exceptional live performance of hers. The tunes are well chosen to create a nice little vibe. Some of the songs are from her old albums, but have new arrangements that will make you say "OH... I like that"...Her band is solid and she really floats and dances with them with ease. I really dig her own compositions.Check it out, you'll be pleasantly excited..."

"I have been following Nnenna Freelon career since 1995. When I first heard her on the radio I couldn't beleive it, Her voice is so crystal clear, and musical approach to jazz so different and untouched by other vocalist. She adds a fresh new coat on jazz standards that is very rare in jazz music today. On " Nnenna Live " you can hear how she and the band works the audiance. On " All Or Nothing At All " she gives it a whole new sound. " Body and Soul", just fabulous, "If I had a Brain", cleaver with a gospel and jazz combination, "Tears of a clown", she made it her own, and "Meaning of the blues", she delivers keeping the jazz tradition but giving it a taste of blues and r&b. This cd delivers some outstanding performances, a must have cd for anyone who appreciates an excellant jazz vocalist that knows how to break the rules and delivers songs brilliantly.

"I just heard her voice in my local shop yesterday & i was taken straight to the venue where this gem was performed. My goodness!what a voice! she instantly blew me away. I must admit she surpuses my best jazz vocalists I have heard so far.I like the way she interacts with the audience listen to "If I had a brain Intro" U will laugh hard as the audience did & at the same time enjoy the music. Also on "My Cherie Amore intro" the lady has a beautiful clear voice. Oh! the band is really tight, listen to the Bass Guitar. The "Circle Song" what a song."Button Up your overcoat......u belong to me" everything hear is best there's no skip track." Nothing will be same..." a beautiful song. Ms Freelon takes your mind from your living room straight to the theatre and makes U sit down and listen, clap your hands(actually shop attendant laughed at me with my eyes closed i was some where to neverland). Thats how good this gem is. I have ordered it & I cant wait to put it on my audio player. Dont let it go out of print. Yes I agree with the preious reviewer "She is hot !hot! I will review this again when I receive my CD."
What a nice surprise . . .

"I awoke one morning to the sound of Nnenna's version of The Tracks Of My Tears. I was riveted. I'd heard that song many times over the years but never had I heard it put down the way Nnenna did it. Needless to say I bought the cd. The entire cd is good listening. She has a unique style. My other favorite track is Blue . . .
