"If you can't appreciated the time and effort that went into this album you have no idea. Nina and this band are all incredible people. I started college with Nina and Dave and all of the others have stood in my living room. What a beautiful group of individuals. The excitment I saw in Nina and Dave's eyes two summers ago at Lilith Fair says it all. This is all of Nina's orignal work and it touches a special place in my heart."
The band needs work, but Nina's voice shines, as always

"This is the second Nina Storey CD I listened to. "Bootleg" is much better. It's not bad, but compared to her live album-complete with all new band-it's nothing much. If you really want to hear a great blues album, buy "Bootleg" or "Shades". Nina's voice is timeless, though... she could ditch the band altogether and still sound perfect. "Cycles of the Moon" is my favorite song on the CD; as she shows of her range near the end. A mix of Mariah Carey and Alanis Morisette, with the attitude of Janis Joplin, her voice box is the only one of it's kind."
