Beautiful and melodic. The master at his best.

"I am a child of the 80's New Wave era. However, having much older brothers who listened to everything from Elvis to Bob Seger, The Eagles and, yes, Neil Diamond, I was also very eclectic. Diamond is one of those rare musical gifts. His music is very influential to other artists who might not replicate his style. Most of his success is not melodic, but rather, poetic. He writes most of his songs and this album, more than most, captures the hippy-like freedom of a by-gone day. Very, very, few male artists can put into words what Diamond can put into music. This album's beauty reminds me of Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" or Elton John's "The One". Picture yourself in a grassy field with a lovely woman in a summer dress on a hot summer day. Get the idea? Well, Neil puts it into words and music. It's as if you are there, but with melody. For all Neil Diamond fans. Don't pass this one up."
