"Morgana King could be described as a vocalist who like a fine wine has to be savored when the time and mood is right. This 1992 recording, I Just Can't Stop Loving You is more poignant now in light of the passing of Michael Jackson. King has chosen to weave her husky vocal magic reinterpreting three of Jackson's signature songs, Human Nature, The Love Of My My Life (The Lady In My Life) and I Just Can't Stop Loving You. Another bold step is her version of Drive originally written by Rick Ocasek and recorded by The Cars.

Throw in Leon Russell's A Song For You, Truman Capote's Sleepin' Bee (yes, that Capote!), and Irving Berlin's It Only Happens When I Dance With You, and the result is pure cocktail hour, anytime of the day you're in the mood to chill.

In one of those bizarre twists of fate, after more than 30 albums to her credit, Morgana King is perhaps more well known for her role as Mama Corleone in the Godfather films. Hopefully King can ride a crest of new found popularity as Jackson hipsters seek out her retro recordings such as this one, and discover much as this reviewer has, that this is one cool lady whose time has come to be uncorked and enjoyed.
