"Now here's an album of Morgana's I've never seen before. And what elegance and grace in the styling of these classics, you can never beat the oldies. As usual Morgana doesn't let me down, a younger but very mature voice, she is so distinctive in her sound and thank goodness for that! What a pleasure it must be for great orchestrators to be able to work with a sophisticated artist like Morgana King, the orchestra seems to fit like a satin glove to her every note. You've got to have it!"
Retro, relaxing, remarkable

"Before she was Mamma Corleone in the Godfather sagas, Morgana King was a fine jazz singer with a distinctive caressing sound, and a great understanding of the lyrics being sung. This 1956 re-issue features her warm, purring sound on some well-known standards, such as It's Delovely (and does she swing here!), as well as The Song is You, but it also showcases her intimate rendition of Cole Porter's Ev'rything I Love, not to mention my favorite...the beautiful title song by the Gershwins. She even gives a fine reading of If You Could See Me Now, which will be forever associated with Sarah Vaughan. Some will argue that Morgana King's delivery over the years became too precious, too "over the top", but this CD catches her in her amazing prime. A great song stylist, and sadly under-rated."

"Morgana King's remarkable voice is one of the finest over the past century and here is captured in it's pure youthful state with full orchestration featuring legendary great's such as Hank Jones and Mundell Lowe. For those who appreciate the finest in vocal artists do not miss this gorgeous collection...Morgana was Frank Sinatra's favorite and Old Blue Eyes knew and signed Morgana King to do three classic albums on his own Reprise Records and they are total masterpieces!!
Morgana King really became an extraordinary singer developing her own unique style by the sixties which was far too progressive for the older and more conservative jazz community yet this was when Morgana recorded the finest treasures of her brilliant career being "I Know How It Feels To Be Lonely" which contains incredible and incomparable versions of "Tomorrow Never Knows", "Eleanor Rigby", "Since I Fell For You", "Got To Get You Into My Life", "Where Am I Going?" which are all definitive and another wonderous masterpiece produced and arranged by the legendary Bob James "You Are The Sunshine Of My Life" which is one of the greatest vocal albums ever recorded containing a killer version of "A Song For You"...these need to be released on compact disc as tremendous classics such as these will never happen again!!! The record companies need to get with it...they are missing the boat big time!!!!!!"
