"On the one hand, Daniel O'Donnell borders on the bland and boring. On the other hand, there is something intriguing and riveting about his Mamma's Boy persona and supernaturally beautiful voice and vocal powers. He's perfection musically with a gorgeous baritone, perfect intotation, flawless enunciation and an intriguing liking for dipping into just about every musical category there is short of Shinto Calypso. He's ordinary looking yet he's gorgeous, he's clunky on stage but a great dancer--well, you get it--you can't pin this guy down. This a totally enjoyable album of soft rock and country favorites, simply arranged and performed and perfect for relaxation or dancing. And as you listen to it you may wonder, as I so often do, "What is it about this guy I like so much?" Darned if I know. I'll just keep shelling out for the C.D.s and the videos...whatever Danny Boy happens to be wearing."
