Great music REALLY shoddy package

"This bizarre compilation matches some interesting early Torme's work with few more recent performances (with Red Norvo!), some jazzy arrangements with 40's style pop,

all that with next to none info on players and original occasions of recording...

Interesting enough, young Torme sounds very much like young Sinatra (not only because of vintage recording technology); it is intriguing to find out how they developed in different directions.

However, this is probably not the best Torme compilation to start from.

Incidently, Peggy Lee co-stars on several songs."
