"One of the best Harrison Ford soundtracks. It's long enough to enjoy and short enough to make you feel like you're on a mood trip for nearly 40 min.(maybe longer). Up the river and Allie's Theme are great. Most of the music makes you forget you're listening to a film score. I felt like I was listening to inspirational/mood music. The electronic sounds are great."
A memorable soundtrack to a flawed film

"I finally have this great work on CD, after listening to it on scratched, overplayed vinyl for many years. Every listen confirms this is one of Jarre's greatest works. The interplay between the music of Jarre pere and fille is always interesting, and this work makes a great companion to Jean Michel Jarre's calypso-splashed "En attendant Cousteau". My favourite track is "Goodbye America (And Have a Nice Day)," which conveys the sense of emotional and geographical separation of the characters' leaving their materialistic North American lives behind for the wilds of Nicaragua. Exotic and brooding, this CD rewards the patient listener with every new listen."
