"I stumbled upon this CD and it is, quite simply, the most beautifully poignant and sublime collection of songs I have heard in a long time. Ms. McGovern's voice is wonderful."
Enjoyable listening.

"After the piano-only arrangements of "Another Woman in Love," Ms. McGovern turned out this fully orchestrated, somewhat eclectic, collection of songs. It's more 'pop' than 'popular standards,' but McGovern handles the transition easily and often quite powerfully. The contributions by Jeff Harris and Judy Barron are well crafted and oh-so-suited to McGovern's range. And then to top it all off, she delivers Alan and Marilyn Bergman's "On My Way To You." Her interpretation is, quite simply, definitive."
Lovely!

"This may be my favorite Maureen McGovern record ever! She's certainly in fine voice, and the songs are well-selected. I originally bought this for the song "On My Way to You," which I had heard sung by Streisand. Of course, Maureen wiped Barbra's version right out of my mind. There are two songs that have extreme personal sentiment to me. Both "The Same Moon" and "Why Can't I Forget?" (the CD's first two songs) are very good songs. When I first heard them, I was trying to get over someone I'd met that I was still in love with - and these songs hit me hard, with every lyric ringing true. I'm sure that even people who didn't experience what I went through will find these two songs appealing.Maureen McGovern has such an incredible voice - her technique is apparent and her range astounding. This CD is an excellent showcase for her unique talents!"
