"Aside from her 1960 Jerome Kern Songbook for Verve, this is one of Miss Whitings better sessions. She doesn't sound like a little girl anymore, but she does not sound like an old lady either, she sounds mature, and warm. Whenever Whiting is singing standards with a hot jazz combo, you're in for a treat, and if you purchase this CD you will be in for a treat. Recomeded."
Her best cd to date..................................

"This is Miss Whitings all around best cd, to date. It was recorded in the 80's with a perfectly fine jazz rhythm section, which is complimentary to Whiting's swinging delivery and picture perfect disction, and phrasinf(not to mention pitch on a level of Jo Stafford). This is Whiting at her very best singing songs of her Daddy Richard Whiting and family friend Johnny Mercer. A gem of a cd."
What a CD!!

"The lovely and talented Margaret Whiting, is the daughter of the great lyricist Richard Whiting, and who better to sing his songs than his daughter. This cd also features pleanty of music by Johnny Mercer, a friend of the Whiting family. Margaret has definately matured into a fine pop jazz singer, and has come a long way from being a 1940's big band singer. Whiting's phrasing is definately more jazz oriented, yet respecting of the composer's intentions. Whiting is backed by an exellent jazz small group, and she sounds best in that setting. This is perhaphs her finest session to date, and it is well worth picking up."
