CD Reviews
Most passionate unique Latin sensibility.

"This album was long over due for Marc Anthony, who until now has resisted the lure of the american pop scene. His music has always been authentic and steadfastly traditional, garnering respect from salsa aficionados. The release of this first English-speaking album is huge to say the least. He is not just another crossover by any means. The only thing he shares with fellow Latin recording artist Ricky Martin and Jennifer Lopez is a similar cultural heritage. Anthony is a passionate singer and it shows in his music, both english and spanish. This album is proof of that. He melded his urban American upbringing with his Puerto Rican roots to bring us a unique Latin sensibility. So if you like music that can make you move your feet, and touch your heart in a unique passionate way, here it is. Hold on to your seat for a ride you won't soon forget. A must have CD. To make your experience even better I recomend his first two albums, Otra Nota and Todo a Su Tiempo, which went platinum."

"I thought this CD by Marc Anthony is good. The only bad part about this CD is that he didn't add the song "I Want to Spend My Lifetime Loving You" that he sang for the movie, 'The Mask of Zorro'. I was disappointed about that because I really liked that song and usually when artists sing songs for movies, they put those songs on their albums, too. But above all that, this CD is awesome. I especially like the songs "I Need To Know" and "You Sang to Me". Marc Anthony has a good, strong talented voice and his music is catchy with a good beat and danceable music. This music makes you wanna get up and dance. It can also be very relaxing music. So if you like Latin music (for example: Ricky Martin, Enrique Iglesias, Jennifer Lopez, Gloria Estefan, Selena, etc.) then this is for you and you'll love this Marc Anthony album! Even if you don't perfer Latin music you'll still enjoy listening to Marc Anthony's brilliant, stunning voice and music."

"I was at Borders listening to many of the new releases and then I just casually sampled this album. Man I was blown away by this! Marc Anthony has got a vocals that are powerful but yet sincere and heartfelt...The production is solid. This is an album that is very complete...that is just no necessity to skip any tracks! I was so excited about the discovery of this gem that I told some of my friends about it immediately."
A Truly Great POP Album

"Let's set things straight, Marc Anthony has got to have the greatest voice on any male POP star since Michael Jackson. Let's face it, the man can sing! And on this CD, he does just that. The CD starts off with the beautiful 'When I Dream At Night' which I like because with his voice and the way he pronounces his words, you can feel the longing in the song and the effect is breathtaking. Now there is alot of sappy stuff on this CD, like 'Am I The Only One' and 'My Baby You', but he picks it up again with the already Top 10 hit 'I Need To Know' which totaly groves and rocks. It was last summer I first heard him, during the credits of the movie Runaway Bride, his song 'You Sang To Me' played and I knew I had to find out whoever was singing that masterful song. It is great, the best on the entire CD, his new single too. Other highlights on the CD include, 'That's Okay', 'She's Been Good To Me' and the spanish versions of the uptempo songs. I'm not one for melodrama, and this CD has got alot of it, but all in all this is a great first time English effort and I hope to see more from him the future, oh yeah and unlike other 'Latin' artist's, this guy actually writes his own material! Four out of Five"

"I have been a huge Marc Anthony fan since 1994 and Ladies and gentleman the English album gives us a new window into the man that we know as Marc Anthony. The CD is not meant to be like his great salsa albums, but it is equally as beautiful as the others. Beautiful ballads such as When I dream at Night, Don't Let Me Leave, Remember, My Baby You, and You sang to me combine with dancing hits of That's Okay and I need to Know to form a complete musical experience. While many may think that Marc Anthony came with the "Latin Explosion" all I have to say is let the music do the talking. You will not be disappointed. Marc's beautiful voice combined with a talent for writing and interpretation will insure that he will be around for many years to come! Marc is a true musical genius and his fans will follow him regardless if he sings english or spanish."
