Frank is never dull but this recording is.

"Amazon does tries to keep things straight but this one's a bit off.
This list the song tracks at 10 songs but there is actually 20. I believe most selections were from 1940 and from his radio appearences most likely. It state on label these are digital re-mastered using a system called 'Cedar'.
Okay, song from 1940 you may not expect much and here you don't get it either. The sound is quite dull and lifeless. Anything over say 6hz is gone. The bass isn't there either, yuke to the 'Cedar' process. The first song was strange as I really thought this was a Perry Como recording, the voice was that strained through the 'Cedar'.
This same song list is available on 'Classic Crooners [Going for a Song]' and 'The Crooners, Volume One' both 4 disc sets and Frank's set is number 4 disc in both records.
Back to the this song set...no notes to be had. Duets are here but no acknowledgements. I know one was the movie actor, Van Johnson but why must we guess."
