Tapped by Rub?n Blades as a guest vocalist on his 2003 GRAMMY Award«-winning album Mundo, Luba Mason delivered a rendition of the Irish classic "Danny Boy" that was hailed as "celestial" by the LA Times and "soaring" by the Boston Globe.Theatregoers already knew Luba from her starring roles on Broadway in Jekyll and Hyde, Paul Simon's Capeman, and How to Succeed, but Mundo opened up a whole new audience. Her performance left fans thirsting for more; now Luba steps into the spotlight with her astonishing debut album, Collage. Continuing her collaboration with Rub?n Blades, who helped shape the repertoire and arrangements here (and who joins her for a soaring rendition of Johnny Nash's classic "I Can See Clearly Now"), and beginning a new partnership with legendary producer Jeffrey Lesser (Streisand's Lazy Afternoon, among others), Luba's sensuous and soaring voice takes on pop classics by everyone from George Harrison to Neil Diamond to Van Morrison.
