Bravo! Tu As Gagne (French version of "Winner Takes It All")
In ALL OF MY LIFE HAS LED TO THIS, Pitre weaves a melodic patchwork by crossing musical generations to display her vast range of musical ability. Also showcased in this eclectic collection are three songs sung in Pitre?s native French: ?Y?a Rien a Voir,? ?A Notre Tour? and ?Le Ciel Est Bleu? ? all telling the stories of love walking in and out of a woman?s life. "Louise Pitre really showcases her incredible vocal talents on this album. It is a sampler of a variety of different genres and really illustrates how versatile a performer Louise truly is. The only other performer I know as vocally versatile as Louise is Elaine Paige. This album is loaded with song after song brimming with emotion. It is candy for your ears. The ABBA song "The Winner Takes It All" from the musical, "Mamma Mia!" is one of those rare songs that is almost impossible for anyone but Agnetha Fältskog to sing it well, and here Louise's rendition not only shines, she'll blow your socks off in both English and French. Go see her on Broadway, and you will not be disappointed. This CD makes an excellent souvenier to ensure you can enjoy Louise's fantastic voice anywhere and anytime you want."

"Being from Canada I had the good fortune of seeing Louise perform before her American breakout role in Mama Mia. I remember seeing her in the Francophone version of Les Miserable in Montreal and being dazzled by her performance. It is the listeners good fortune that we get to hear some songs in French as an added bonus. Hopefully it will give her some crossover appeal to Anglo and Francophone audience. Her choice of material is very good and takes advantage of her vocal range and dynamics of song interpretation. She wisely chosens some ABBA songs for this recording to tie in with her appearance on Broadway. An overall very satisfying and entertaining recording that I thankfully can recommend for everyone."

"I must admit that, prior to last summer, I had never heard of Louise Pitre. Then, I went to see "Mamma Mia" in Chicago, in which Louise played the principal character. It would be difficult to exaggerate how impressed and dazzled I was with her talent. In an emotional two-hour rollercoaster, I laughed and cried with her and the cast, and came away knowing I had to have this CD.When I finally got it, I was impressed even more. Her voice is rich, full and expressive, her reading of lyrics is emotional and distinctive and her choice of music in impeccable. For me, the best cuts are the ABBA songs from "Mamma Mia", "Slipping Through My Fingers" and " The Winner Takes It All " in both English and French. There is really not a bad song on the album, though. Her rendition of "Limelight" is particularly striking. This 44 year old, silver haired performer is about to become a name well known in Broadway circles, as she stars in the production of "Mamma Mia" at the Wintergarden Theater. She is a special one. I highly recommend this album."

"Broadway has a new diva in Louise Pitre from Canada who has a thrilling voice and is sure to bring raves on Broadway where she is making her debut in MAMMA MIA! at the Winter Garden. The mix of english and french on this CD makes it most desirable for those of us who are of French Canadian descent, and hey! how about the addition of a couple of songs from MAMMA MIA! not to mention a french translation of one at the end of the CD. Great!
I look forward to the Broadway cast recording of this show. I saw the show in Boston recently, GO , YOU WILL DANCE IN THE AISLES."

"I, too, bought this cd after seeing Louise Pitre perfom in "Mamma Mia!" - and I am so thrilled I did. It gave me a chance to discover her talent and now I am forever hooked. Louise has a powerful, sensual and unique voice, which works well both in ballads and more jazzy numbers. The entire cd is a delight, every song special in its own way, and the end result is pure magic. It's a mix of styles, yes, but they all fit in very nicely. You get a sense that she is as diverse as her choice of songs, and therefore, very interesting - This is a performer who is sure of herself and knows what she is worth. Now we know as well. A few highlights- Her version of "Rock-a-Bye Your Baby with a Dixie Melody", which is an instant classic, simply wipes the floor with all the previous recordings (yes, even Garland's).
"Limelight" gets a heartfelt and heartbreaking treatment, giving us a glimpse into a perfromer's life which is extremely effective, coming from a mature, professional voice such as hers. The two ABBA songs are sung brilliantly, with a lot of raw emotion and a touch of the French Chanson, not to mention the French version of "The Winner Takes It All", which sounds like the song should have sounded all along. The songs in her native French are charming, especially the ones she composed herself, and definately made me want to learn the language! :) I highly recommend this cd. You will surely be as enchanted as I was."
