If it's Lou, it's great...but...

"Why is it that a superb soul singer such as Mr. Rawls would release no less that 5 0r 6 greatest hits compilations, yet none of them seem to be career-spanning? They are either missing early stuff like "Love is a Hurtin' Thing" or they're missing later work like "Lady Love" What Gives? There is nothing at all wrong with the music on this CD, it's terrific. But if you like Lou enough, I'd wait until his record company releases a SERIOUS Best-Of package, one that has ALL the hits. (And let's face it, as great as Lou is, you could easily fit all his major hits on a one or two-CD set!)"

"lou deserves more than this.considering how long he has been in the biz and the many songs that he has done and what not he should be able to have a box set of his material.he is still a better vocalist than over half of what goes for singing today.this disc doesn't do him alot of justice.it's only half way there."

"Every song on the album is a keeper. "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" is a classic, and this album has the best recording of "Tobacco Road" that I have heard.
Each of the ten songs is worth listening to, and by the time you hear "Your Good Thing" and "Dead End Street", you will be looking for more Lou Rawls for your collection.
This was the first Rawls album I purchased. I have five now, and not one has disappointed me yet!"
