Only some of the "best of"...

"This is strictly a paltry budget collection of the tunes of one of the most prolific romantic music groups of the early rock years. If limited to a meager ten tracks, a best-of compilation of the Lettermen would not include some of the tracks appearing here. While some of their biggest hits and a few album sides of quality appear, a few of the selections here are not what the Lettermen do best. The spoken portions of "Are You Lonesome Tonight" are almost embarrassing to listen to. Thrown into the mix here is "She Cried", a listenable version of the Jay and the Americans tune that, for the Lettermen, only made it into the lower reaches of the pop charts as a single. Welcome as it is since it is not found on other Lettermen CDs, there are better Lettermen treatments of other artists' tunes not included here. Sound quality here is OK with all tracks in stereo. Liner notes are limited to a track listing and one page of backround notes. A FAR superior collection can be found on the Capitol Collectors Series Lettermen CD. For a measly two dollars more you get more than twice the number of tracks in superb sound quality. (Note: the CCS CD is from 1993 and may not be available for too much longer.) The Lettermen produced a lot of memorable music that is better represented elsewhere."
A Romantic album

"I owned this album almost 30 years ago, and it was great to hear all of my favorites again today on CD. "The Way you Look Tonight" and "When I Fall In Love" are my favorites and are such soothing and enjoyable songs."
