But a Leon Redbone Christmas album? It doesn't get any better than that. His saucy, irreverent, bluesy style is a perfect fit for a holiday album, and there is no better song for Christmas than Christmas Island....though That Old Christmas Moon comes a close second. It's just not Christmas at my house without this album. It holds its own against the big classics at our house like Johnny Mathis, Elvis and the White Christmas film soundtrack. A "new" classic through and through, great for children and adults alike.
