Unbelievable Technique- Great Voice and Artist -Buy it

"Reading through reviews of CDs it seems that most people only acknowledge and compare -3- coloraturas; Callas, Sills and Sutherland of these -3- Sutherland is my favorite.

Kurz has one of the most incredible techniques ever and a trill never surpassed and musical sophistication to sing lyrically with line and feeling.

Kurtz made too few recordings and one must hunt some rare items where she sings only 1 or 2 pieces e.g on Symposium Records.

Kurtz is one of many great coloraturas pre-Callas- Sills and Sutherland that should be listened to e.g. Melba, Barrientos, Tettrazini, Galli-Gurci, Noni, Jokl, Parras, Alpar, Galvany and Dal Monte who have left some of the most startling and moving singing I ever heard."
