(5 out of 5 stars)

"I bought the Hope recording because of the flute and guitar music by Piazzolla and VillaLobos and was very pleased listening to these peices. The music by Daniel Akiva for flute and guitar was very beautiful and the flute and guitar music by Permont was also very good. the flutist, Laurel Zucker, whom I have heard on other CDs , is one of the finest flutists thst I have ever heard, and she really played with power and expression throughout the CD. Akiva's guitar playing was lovely during his own compositions and Villalobos, but during the Piazzolla Tango he lacked the strength and technique to truly bring this piece to life. if you focus just on the flutist performance you can be assured of a totally excellent listening experience. The Soprano was definitely not of as high caliber as the other two instrumentalist."
