""Lainie slays me. Supremely sexy, knowing, and worldly wise, these are the songs she was born to sing. How wonderful to have her recording again". Bette Midler"

"I knew Lainie Kazan sounded great on her last cd-but she blew me away with this one-she is incredible. They should bottle her voice as a love potion-sexy, sultry and so sassy at times. She has so many different sounds-tender, bold, but always honest-she knows what to do with each song and does it very well. I especially love how she re-recorded "Look of Love" I love how the song matured since she first recorded it. I also love "A Song for You" it takes me fantasy land. I can't wait for her next cd!!!!!"

"Wow! I was only familiar with Miss Kazan as an actress (i.e. "Beaches", etc.), who knew she had such a lovely voice? She has a broad, expressive voice that can illuminate a lyric and make much-recorded muzak standards like "The Look of Love" and "You Go To My Head" sound fresh. She collaborates with the very skillful David Benoit, who produced and arranged this CD. However, the match doesn't always work, sometimes Benoit's arrangements are a little too languid for a firecracker voice like Lainie's. "Music That Makes Me Dance" is a showstopper, "A Song For You" is passionate and "Yesterday When I Was Young" smolders appropriately but "If I Could" plays like a bad lullaby. Would love to hear Lainie belt out more uptempo stuff. Until then "In the Groove" will do just fine."

"Until I heard a compilation jazz CD with Lainie singing 'Do It Again', I had no idea she was a recording songstress. She definitely got my mood groovin' with this utterly delightful content of songs. Her voice is at once smokey and sultry and just at the turn of a note, lively and bursting full of energy. Her enormous talent is paired equally well with her good friend, David Benoit. A true compliment of successes. Lainie is truly an original diva."
