Another Brit wonder

"Looking at a picture of Kristian Leontiou, you'd expect him to be a punk, rap or heavy metal performer. With his buzz cut, pierced lower lip and big baggy clothes, the last thing you'd expect from this 23 year old Brit would be the soft romantic pop ballads on this album. Fans of Westlife and Boyzone will appreciate the music of this talented young man, who co-wrote all the songs on the album.
Selling more than 200,000 albums in the UK, this album spawned three hit singles and a new Brit sensation.
This is one of those albums where you would be hard pressed to choose a favorite song, because each one deserves that label. I like "Story of My Life", "Some Say", "Love is All I Need", "Hanging" and "Caught in the Moment." The shortest song is 3 minutes 25 seconds, and the longest a whopping 4 minutes 54 seconds, for an unlisted acoustic piece "Sometimes I Wonder."
New from Kristian (not on this album) is his version of Tracy Chapman's 1988 hit "Fast Car", his first cover song.
Looking forward to many more Kristian Leontiou albums.

"Just bought the CD...I have to tell you, you are missing out if you do not have this in your collection. It is the perfect kind of music to listen to if you are showering, doing homework, or just lounging around the house. Perfect beats and easy listening. A MUST own!"
Stunning debut from London singer / songwriter

"I have found it really hard to try and categorise Kristian's sound (for the purpose of the review), and I have read many reviews in the press trying to as well. (From the male Dido, to a cross between Crowded House and Bryan Adams (?), to a young David Gray). The closest I suppose could be the Dido comparison, musically at least, because this album is incredibly melodic, beautifully written and beautifully sung. What also makes him hard to categorise is when you see him, you expect something a little harder, (he looks like your typical skater-boy) not mid-tempo ballads, which is what this album is built up of.
Lets not get bogged down in categories. This is a beautifully crafted album, more melancholy than not, and I simply can't stop playing it and singing along (that's the sign of a good album for me - whether I sing the tracks constantly).
From the stunning debut single 'Story of my life', the 2nd single 'Shining' (which first appeared on the 'Win a date with Tad Hamilton' soundtrack), this album has many highlights which make it hard to choose a favourite, but 'Fall And I Will Catch You', 'The Years Move On', 'Caught In The Moment' (this has GOT to be a single - I love the unexpected vocoded female backing vocal) and 'Love Is All I Need' are all worthy of mention. A live favourite (if you get the chance to see him live, this is where his voice is most impressive) is 'Hanging' the most uptempo number on the album (and my best mates favourite, which goes to show 'horses for course' as they say! lol)).
A beautiful, moving and stunning debut album. Learn how to pronounce his name 'Leon-tee-you' cos you are going to hear his name a lot over the next few months. I hope he has a launch worthy or his talent in the US."
